White Tops
From the 6th floor
I watch a windsurfer
slice across the bight
Tall, upright
and on speaking terms
with the wind
Free-loading for real
on a Friday afternoon
while all around me
air-conned co-workers
lean back too
on the bosses’ time

Beverley,
ReplyDeleteI have read your poetry with wonder - I find the head/heart that creates condensed words into poems a mysterious thing. Keep putting them up please.
Hi Beverley
ReplyDeleteI love the poetry - it's brilliant. Is there any more you can share with us?
Helen
Hi Helen. Thanks for your feedback. I'm new at this blog stuff but your comment has inspired me to find out how to create a separate heading for more poems. With a bit of help I've now added this feature to my blog and will upload more poems later this week. Thanks again, Beverly
